Responsible for accurately and efficiently processing and balancing all customer deposit transactions as per manifest assigned throughout the shift in accordance to the company’s policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company.
TELLER
Main Purpose
Responsible for accurately and efficiently processing and balancing all customer deposit transactions as per manifest assigned throughout the shift in accordance to the company’s policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company.
Key Responsibilities & Activities
- Receive and sign for crossing stamp and an over/ short display board;
- Ensure no cash is left behind from previous shift;
- Collect deposits to be processed from the Receiving Room Tellers along with Vault Transfer Reports;
- Process deposits one at a time in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Cash & Custody Procedures;
- Package, seal and label documents/items;
- Ensure Cash, Custody & Security Procedures are followed at all times.
Qualification & Experience
- A minimum of five (5) CXC including English Language and Mathematics/Accounts.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Teller or high volume Cashier.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Must have a high accuracy level, pays attention to detail and possess strong numerical ability
- Must be highly motivated and possess good organizational skill
- Must be a team player as well as work on own initiative
- Must be able to work under pressure and have a high stress tolerance level
- Must possess good interpersonal, listening and communication skills
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills
- Basic knowledge of the computers and Microsoft office is an asset
- Must be willing to work on shift, weekends, and public holidays and for extended hours.
